It is a known fact that Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut is coming up with a biopic on former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Titled Emergency, the movie is set to be made under the actress’ production banner, Manikarnika Films.
Kangana on Thursday shared the first teaser of the movie and it sees the actress playing the role of the late PM. In the video, we can see the B-Town diva donning the look of Indira Gandhi, complete with spectacles and her starched cotton saree. “Tell the American president that everyone in my office addresses me as Sir, not Madam,” she says the dialouge in the promo video.
Kangana is also the director of the upcoming film, which is currently in shooting mode. Emergency is written by Ritesh Shah, and it has renowned prosthetic makeup artist David Malinowski, who worked for films like Darkest Hour, World War Z and The Batman.
