Election King Padma Rajan contested 218 times in elections!

Election King Padma Rajan from Mettur in Salem district has so far defeated 218 times in the Assembly and Parliamentary elections. He has been contesting in several elections in the country since 1989. He contested in the local body, Assembly, Parliament, and the presidential election without bothering about the defeat and was listed in Limca and Guinness World Records. Hence, he was named the Election King.

In the 2021 Assembly elections, he contested in the Edapadi constituency against CM Palaniswami, and also he contested in the Dharmadham constituency against Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and also in his own constituency Mettur. So far he has contested 218 times and did not win even once.
