The state government has decided to reopen educational institutions in Telangana as the corona pandemic has calmed down.
Chief Minister KCR held a meeting with Ministers Sabita Indra Reddy, Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Chief Secretary to the State Government Somesh Kumar and senior officials to discuss the reopening of schools. It was decided in the meeting to start live classes from September 1st.
Educational institutions were closed last year March due to the spread of the Covid-19. However, the state had reopened classes for IX and X in the middle, but they were closed due to the effect of the second phase.
Although the government had planned to start all classes from January, the Govt backtracked after High Court, asking several questions. Many states in the country are opening educational institutions within this month. Taking all these into consideration, the CM decided to reopen schools across the state.
