The Enforcement Directorate, which is probing the disproportionate assets case of CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, has expressed its dissatisfaction over YSRCP MP V Vijayasai Reddy’s attitude. For the unversed, he is the A2 in the case.
The ED, which is probing the case along with CBI, has objected to the MP’s attitude, claiming the latter is wasting the court time.
The case of YS Jagan came up for hearing in the ED, CBI special court in Nampally, Hyderabad on Tuesday. Vijayasai Reddy’s lawyers initially demanded that the ED cases not be taken up for trial. They requested that they approach the Supreme Court on the matter and asked to give time until the apex Court responds. But, the ED officials objected to this appeal.
The ED informed the court that Vijayasai Reddy has been saying the same for the last three instalments. Following these arguments, the court adjourned the case until the 20th.
However, the CBI has sought the removal of Samuel, a retired IAS officer, from the India Cements case charge sheet. In this case, Jagan and Vijaya Sai requested to give more time for counter-filing on discharge petitions. The court adjourned the hearing to the 17th.
