Karthi who has lost his form in Telugu has bounced back strong with the movie Khaidi which is both critically acclaimed and also a box office winner.
The film which was released for Diwali turned out to be golden goose for the distributors here.
Now, Karthi within a short span is back again with his next movie titled Donga which also had Jyotika playing an important character. The film is based mainly on the relationship between a brother and sister.
Theatrical trailer of Donga got released a while ago and by looking at the trailer, one would feel it had some shades of Mahesh Babu’s Athadu only that this Donga had brother-sister relation and the backdrop is somewhat different.
Sharwa who misses out 15 years back from a family is finally back but some members from that family suspects whether this Karthi is real Sharwa or a Donga.
This point will remind us of Athadu. But again the trailer is interesting enough to engage the audience and create some interest among them.
Donga is scheduled for release in the month of December. Though makers haven’t confirmed yet, it is evident that the film will release on December 20th.
Jeethu Joseph of Drishyam fame has directed the film while Satyaraj is playing the key role in the movie. Will Karthi signs off 2019 with another hit is to be seen soon.
