Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy doesn’t seem like a man who really means what he says, considering his track record. He failed to fulfill any of the election promises he made to the people of Andhra Pradesh, mainly retaining Amaravati as the sole capital of AP, creating jobs in the state and so many others.
Apart from that, the CM seems incapable of keeping his word for himself. He announced Visakhapatnam as the executive capital of AP in 2019, and has been saying that he intends to operate from the port city since then. He’s been naming a date and every year, that date passes, but he doesn’t move.
Earlier this year, he said that he would be moving to Vizag from Ugadi, but that didn’t happen. He is now saying that he will move by September, and this seems highly unlikely as well. It is to be seen if he will be able to stick to this at least, and in case he does, what will happen.
