Sources reveal that Telangana police requested for the support from Human Rights activists for the encounter on the culprits involved in Disha rape and murder case.
After Disha’s incident came to light, Telangana police and even state government had received a severe backlash for allegedly taking no action. Activists from various organizations and even normal public protested outside the police stations demanding for an outright justice to Disha. Telangana Chief Minister KCR was criticized for maintaining silence on the case and also not bothering to meet the girl’s family.
But eight days after the incident took place, the four culprits have been encountered by Telangana police as they allegedly tried to skip away from the spot by threatening police with guns, stones etc.
The encounter has received a huge applause and especially Telangana DGP VC Sajjanar has become an overnight hero of the social media with many sharing his pictures and appreciating his move.
