Telangana police who planned to perform the last rites of all the four accused involved in the rape and murder of Disha faced a jolt from the Telangana High Court and National Human Rights Commission.
Right after encounter took place, the woman activists have approached High Court and urged for an independent probe on the entire encounter episode. The Court accepted the writ petition and ordered the police to preserve the dead bodies till 9th of this month.

The forensic experts revealed that the post-mortem of the four dead bodies has been performed at a government hospital in Mahabubnagar. The court asked to produce the evidence of the same. Meanwhile, even NHRC went against Telangana police and summoned them not to perform the last rites until investigation by their team.
Disha, a 25-year-old girl has been gang raped on November 27th. The issue has gone viral across the country with several netizens demanded for an instant justice. Finally, the four culprits involved in crime have been encountered in the early hours of Friday. Hyderabad DGP VC Sajjanar claimed that they performed encounter as they tried fly away from the spot by firing at police.
