Multiple reports claim that Dil Raju sold the digital rights of Nani’s ‘V’ to Amazon Prime Video for a fancy price. Reportedly, the film will be made available for streaming on Amazon Prime from September 5th.
The latest update is that Dil Raju has signed a first-of-its-kind deal with Amazon Prime for ‘V’. Apparently, ‘V’ will be getting a digital release first and then be released in theaters as well.
‘V’ will be out on Amazon Prime on September 5th and then Dil Raju will be releasing it in limited number of screens once theaters are re-opened.
If this speculation turns out to be true, ‘V’ will be the first film to release on digital platforms first and then get a theatrical release. No other Telugu film has gotten a digital release prior to theatrical release and ‘V’ might well be the first film to do so.
Dil Raju has apparently mentioned about the theatrical clause in the agreement signed with Amazon prime.
Dil Raju is likely to enter profits zone after selling off the digital rights. Any revenue he makes from theatrical release is added bonus.
