Pawan Kalyan’s Vakeel Saab has been receiving lucrative deals from Amazon Prime Video but the producer Dil Raju is reluctant to give away the direct to digital rights of the film. He wants to give the film a theatrical release as he believes it can have a strong run at the ticket counters.
The latest news is that Dil Raju is planning to release Vakeel Saab next Sankranthi season. He will be locking a date between January 11th-14th for the release of the film. This could be the optimal period to release the film as it is holiday season and Telugu audience will be eagerly waiting to watch a big-ticket film in theaters.
Dil Raju opines that Vakeel Saab has the X factor that will pull the audience to the theaters once normalcy is restored and theaters are re-opened.
There are reports claiming that Amazon Prime is ready to offer in upwards of Rs 100 crores for the digital rights of Vakeel Saab. But Dil Raju is persistent to give the film a theatrical release.
If situation permits, Vakeel Saab will be out in theaters next Sankranthi but if the Covid-19 situation does not come under control, it will be a completely different story altogether.
