The ongoing theatre dispute in the Telugu states has sparked widespread discussion. Reports claim that some exhibitors approached leading producers, proposing a shift from the existing rental model to a revenue-sharing system. Allegedly, the producers advised a temporary theatre shutdown, which reportedly displeased the Andhra Pradesh government.
Amidst this, fans suspected a deliberate attempt to affect Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu. Responding to these claims, producer Dil Raju addressed the media, clarifying his stance. He emphasized that he was not involved in the decision and said, “People are unnecessarily linking my name. Honestly, no one can stop a Pawan Kalyan Garu film.”
He added that theatres are rarely shut, saying, “In my three-decade-long career, theatres were never closed. At most, shootings might pause, but cinemas remain open.” Dil Raju also mentioned that he had already discussed the matter with Minister Durgesh Garu and noted that several big releases are scheduled for June and July.
