It is known that National award-winning actor Dhanush has teamed up with director Karthick Naren for the upcoming project, Maaran. Malavika Mohanan plays the female lead in this film that has music by Smruthi Venkat.
As per reports, the flick will be out in theatres in January 2022. But with the sudden spike of Covid-19 cases, the film may not be released on big screens anytime sooner.
If the reports are believed to be true, Maaran is now gearing up for a direct OTT release on the prominent platform Disney + Hotstar in February 2022. As per a report, the makers have already locked a deal with the digital streaming giant. An official announcement on the same is awaited.
Touted to be a stylish action thriller, Maaran also stars Krishnakumar, Samuthirakani and Mahendran in pivotal parts.
On the other hand, Dhanush has signed for a bunch of films with several talented directors including Venkat Atluri’s SIR and a film with Sekhar Kammula.
