Dhanush is all set to return to Telugu screens with his much-awaited film Kara, which has officially fixed April 30, 2026 as its Telugu theatrical release date. Directed by Vignesh Raja, the Telugu version will be released by Vigneswara Entertainments in association with R Star Logistics.
Produced by Vels Film International Ltd along with Think Studios, the film has been steadily gaining momentum across Tamil, Telugu and overseas markets. Dhanush enjoys a loyal fan following among Telugu audiences, thanks to successful films like Raghuvaran B.Tech, Asuran and Saar.
The buzz around the Telugu release has grown further with the song Kannamma Naa Kannamma, which has crossed 4.1 million views on YouTube. The track has connected strongly with viewers and helped introduce the film’s emotional tone. Kara stars Mamitha Baiju as the female lead, with Jayaram, K. S. Ravikumar, Karunas and M. S. Bhaskar in key roles. The film’s music is composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar.
