Although, the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party ‘supremo’ Nara Chandrababu Naidu has declared himself not in the ‘race for PM’, yet the former prime minister Deve Gowda’s wish at a ‘road show’ has raised many eyebrows.
“None should surprise, if Naidu emerges as the front runner as PM after polls”, said the JDS leader Deve Gowda. He said Naidu enjoys the capabilities to unite all regional parties to fight the BJP and its leader Narendra Modi.
Gowda also accused the PM as anti-farmer and held him solely responsible for farm distress across the country.
Though, it has come as a surprise, Naidu just laughed it off and instead pointed his tirade against his bête noir and Telangana counterpart K Chandrasekhara Rao. “Does KCR have guts to write a letter to the Centre supporting the demand to accord Special Category Status (SCS) to Andhra Pradesh?” he asked.
He had also advised KCR to withdraw the case he filed against Polavaram in Supreme Court, if really care fellow Telugus prosperity in the neighboring state.
Naidu appealed to the people of Andhra, while addressing a road show meeting in Krishna district’s Tiruvuru, to be cautious over the conspiracies being hatched by KCR to defeat me. “You all know whom he wants to install as next CM in AP. Will that lead to destruction of development that I have initiated in the state. Decide for yourself, before casting your valuable vote. You want development or anarchy,” he told the gathering.
He alleged that YSRCP chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy as colluded with enemies like KCR to ruin the state.
In a touching scene, Naidu also touched the feet of former prime minister, who came to campaign for his party in the state. He also addressed Deve Gowda as former prime minister.
In fact, it may recalled that it was the TDP chief who played a major role in making Deve Gowda as the consensus PM candidate, to keep Congress away.
