Sumaya Reddy is making her debut as the lead actress, producer, and writer with the movie Dear Uma, which is set to release on April 18. The film features Prithvi Amber in the male lead role. Sai Rajesh Mahadev handled the screenplay, dialogues, and direction, while Raj Thota is the cinematographer and Radhan composed the music. Nagesh served as the line producer, and Nithin Reddy worked as the executive producer. The pre-release event was held on Wednesday.
At the event, Sumaya Reddy thanked the media for their support throughout the film-making process. She expressed her excitement about Telugu women stepping into the industry and revealed her bold decision to produce the film herself, which carries a meaningful social message. Executive producer Nithin Chandra Reddy and Line producer Nagesh expressed pride in Sumaya Reddy’s achievement and in producing a film with a significant message. Comedian prudhvi said that the movie reminds him of Venkatesh’s Ganesh which focused on healthcare system.
Sumaya’s mother, Jyothi Reddy, spoke emotionally about her daughter’s journey of over ten years to reach this milestone. She stressed about Sumaya’s determination and creativity in making opportunities for herself.
