A high tense situation is being witnessed in Andhra Pradesh, at a few of the polling booths in the state.
While the TDP backed media is blaming the YSRCP activists for allegedly creating the disturbance at the booths, it is vice-versa with the YSRCP media. But the facts are different, the reports say. Below are the region-wise conflicts that took place today.
In Ananthapur district, Tadipathri mandal, Meerapuram, the TDP and YSRCP activists were indulged in a conflict. The duo even used knifes, heavy swords to fight with one another, which resulted in the death of Chintha Bhaskar Reddy, a TDP activist. The YSRCP activist Pulla Reddy who was behind the murder, is also being treated in a hospital and his condition is said to be serious. Six others have been injured in the conflict. This made the election officials stop the polling in that area.
In another incident in Guntur district, Rajupalem Mandal, AP Assembly speaker Kodela Siva Prasad was attacked by YSRCP activists and even his car was damaged.
In Kurnool district, Allagadda constituency, the YSRCP activists broke the car glasses of Bhumika Mounika, sister of AP Minister Bhuma Akhila Priya.
In Allagadda constituency’s Ahobilam, the TDP-YSRCP activists quarreled with the sticks and stones throwing at one another.
In Prakasham distrct, Chirala, YSRCP leader Modhugu Ramesh Babu was asked about his identity card in the polling booth, for which the leader has created all the disturbance he could and had to leave the booth with the officials interference.
In Chittoor district, Chandragiri mandal, the YSRCP leader Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy abused the villagers for voting against him and the villagers had to go against him.
In Kadapa district, Jammalamadugu, the TDP activists have created a hullabaloo for which YSRCP MP Avinash Reddy Sudheer Reddy had to go to the booth to control the issue.
In West Godavari district, Eluru, TDP MLA Badeti Bujji physically attacked YSRCP Convenor Matta Raju who then had to face severe head injuries and was shifted to the hospital.
In all the above mentioned places, the voting took a beating, as public had to go back witnessing the violence. However, the party activists are busy rigging the votes, the reports say, because of which the voting percentage is expected to be exceptionally big this time.
