It is already known that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy made it very clear to his cabinet ministers that he would be shuffling the cabinet very soon, and that only some of them would be retained, while the others would be replaced. While it is not known who would be retained, sources have informed that the CM has asked all of his ministers to resign by the 27th of this month.
The current ministers would continue as interim ministers until April 2nd when the new ministers would be elected. Only 5 of the currently serving cabinet ministers are expected to be retained. On the other hand, the shuffling would once again take place just like the first time around, with more than 50 per cent of the seats reserved for SCs, STs, BCs and minorities, and five deputy chief ministers belonging to five different caste groups.
Sources have also revealed that the new cabinet would consist of 25 ministers. The home minister would also be a woman, and the cabinet is expected to be constituted in such a way that almost all the newly formed districts would be given representation in the cabinet. A few of the MLCs are also expected to find a place in the cabinet. It is now to be seen who all Jagan will take in, and who all he won’t.
