The city of Pune, in Maharashtra, has been recording more and more coronavirus cases with every passing day. As a result, the government of Maharashtra has announced a curfew in Pune, which starts at 11 PM in the night, and ends at 6 AM in the morning. This curfew will be in effect from Sunday night itself.
The government has also ordered for the shut down of schools and colleges till the 28th of this month. Higher Education institutions can be run with 50% occupancy, and while taking strict coronavirus precautions. Hotels and restaurants have been given permission to be open only until 11 PM in the night.
India is once again looking at an increasing number of Coronavirus, and 74% of these cases are from the states of Maharashtra and Kerala. Chattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh are also reporting an increasing number of Coronavirus cases.
The Union Ministry of Health has called for increased testing in the country as a whole, and for a rapid testing system in the states that are reporting more number of cases, and those states that are reporting rapid cases.
While the vaccine for Coronavirus is out, it is going to take quite some time for everyone in the country to be able to get the vaccine. It is also important that we are always careful and take precautions when we go out.
