Kannada Power star Puneeth Rajkumar breathed his last in a Bengaluru hospital today after suffering a heart attack. He was 46. This tragic news has shaken the entire Karnataka and his fans across the world are in utter shock. This is indeed a big loss to the Indian film industry as another gem of an actor left his world, leaving everyone shocked and grief-stricken.
To mourn the untimely demise of Puneeth Rajkumar, PM Narendra Modi took to Twitter and wrote: “A cruel twist of fate has snatched away from us a prolific and talented actor, Puneeth Rajkumar. This was no age to go. The coming generations will remember him fondly for his works and wonderful personality. Condolences to his family and admirers. Om Shanti.”
On Friday afternoon, Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai tweeted: “I am deeply shocked that Kannada celebrity Shri Puneeth Rajkumar died of a heart attack. The death of Kannadigar’s favourite actor, Appu, has caused enormous loss to Kannada and Karnataka and I pray that God will have mercy on his soul and give his fans the power to endure this pain.”
Puneeth Rajkumar had been working out in a gym when he had a cardiac arrest. He was rushed to Vikram Hospital in an unresponsive condition, where he was declared dead.
