Legendary footballer Cristiano Ronaldo on Monday announced that one of his newborn twins has passed away. The Manchester United forward took to social media to announce that he and his partner Georgina Rodriguez lost their baby boy.
Ronaldo, who is expecting twins, said that her partner Georgina Rodriguez gave birth to a girl, while their son died.
The football star took to social media and asked for privacy as their family is dealing with the death of their newborn son.
“It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away. It is the greatest pain that any parents can feel,” Ronaldo wrote in social media post.
“Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness. We want to thank the doctors and nurses for their care and support. We are devastated by this loss and request privacy at this difficult time. Baby, you are our angel. We will always love you,” he concluded.
Ronaldo is the father to four other children, Cristiano Jr, Mateo, and daughters Eva and Alana.
