Popular Indian cricketer Suresh Raina and singer Guru Randhawa were Arrested by Mumbai Police in a raid conducted at Dragonfly club on Monday night.
Reportedly, they were hosting a party in wee hours. Both the celebs along with 7 staffs and 27 customers were arrested. The party included some big shots’ names like Hrithik Roshan’s ex-wife Susanne Khan and rapper Baadshah. It is learnt that Baadshah was also present during the raid but managed to evade from the backdoor.
The sudden raid in the Dragonfly Club located in JW Marriott was held by Mumbai police officials at around 2:30 am on the instructions of DCP Jain. Suresh Raina was booked under IPC section 188 while all the staff and customers(34 members) have been booked under IPC section 188, 269, epidemic Diseases Act and under section 51 of NDMA at Sahar police station.
Ahead of Christmas and new year celebration, Maharastra government announced a night curfew in Municipal corporation areas as a safety measure since Monday, owing to the new covid strain panic. The arrest was done for violating night curfew by hosting a party at the pub beyond permissible time limit and exempting Covid-19 measures such as social distancing and not wearing a face mask, sources informed.
But as per the recent update, both the celebs got the bail today.
