Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ was officially announced in 2018 and of everything went as planned the film would have released in theaters in the month of July this year. But the onset of Covid-19 pandemic changed the scenario and RRR has been postponed indefenitely.
Now, there are crazy speculations about the release date of RRR. While a few say RRR will be out during 2021 Dasara season, others say the film will make it to theaters only by 2022 Sankranthi.
There are reports claiming that RRR’s release might be pushed to July 2022 as well. There is a whole lot of confusion surrounding RRR’s release date and the lack of any official update from the makers is not helping the cause either.
Incidentally, Jr NTR will be joining hands with Trivikram for his next project and the shooting is expected to commence this summer. The film is likely to release during 2022 Sankranti season. A few are commenting that Jr NTR-Trivikram film might be releasing ahead of RRR and that pretty much sums up the situation.
Meanwhile, Rajamouli is planning to complete shoot by March 2021. The final call on the release date will be taken only after the film enters the final phase of production. This painfully long delay in the release of RRR is certainly leaving Nandamuri and mega fans disappointed and understandably so.
