Everyday a new twist is coming into the light about the Covid-19. Now on Tuesday, the Indian Council of Medical Research(ICMR) has announced failure to follow proper precautions against Coronavirus can lead to reinfection. As per the details given by Balram Bhargav, the Director General of ICMR, people who got recovered from Covid-19 can be reinfected, once the antibodies of the viral disease starts depleting.
In case of a Covid-19 recovered person, the antibodies developed showed signs of depletion within 5 months and the person is prone again to the Coronavirus. Balram Bhargav mentioned about the evolving nature of the Coronavirus and requested people to follow certain health guidelines to avoid further reinfection.
It is known that the recovery rate is high in India and people who got recovered from Covid-19 are not following the health guidelines due to the confidence that they won’t be getting it again due to the antibodies development. The statements from Balram Bhargav strongly means that everyone needs to follow the precautions to avoid falling back to Covid-19.
