The novel Covid-19 pandemic has paralysed the world and imposed people to distance themselves and confine to their homes. Many showed bias and inequality against people with the infection, and racism spurred up against Asians. Meanwhile the world is now getting accustomed to the crisis and many have seem to resume businesses, schools, shops etc amidst lockdown.
Closely 1.5 million preschool and elementary school students began to attend classes on Tuesday, after nearly two months of hiatus due to the impact of COVID-19 pandemic.
A picture of 3 to 4 year old kids playing in the boxes in a school surfaced the Internet recently. On Twitter, a local reporter Lionel Top captured the picture in Tourcoing on the Belgium border, France and described the atmosphere on the playground as “very strange, even disturbing,.”
Although many netizens expressed that he pic evoked sadness, the young kids isolated in boxes marked with chalk seem to still enjoy the act by following social distancing. The children did not see it as a strict act rather they played merrily out of innocence. In a relevant tweet, a teacher reminisced how it was heart wrenching to see them.
Within no time the post went viral and was retweeted 15000 times. Many people even expressed if this could be the future of the schooling post lockdown.
