Subsequent to demand from students and parents to cancel state SSC board exams in view of booming covid-19 following CBSE decision, the state education board deferred SSC exams too. Wherein government teachers are insisting that the state either provide vacation or give them the option to work from home.
It doesn’t make any sense to àsk us to to attend school when the state cancelled SSC exams, state should either declare a vacation so that the next academic year starts from June 1st or give us an option to work from home”, stated Chava Ravi, secretary of United teachers federation.
Teachers said that even if they have to resume to keep an eye on virtual classes or involve in other academic related work they should be given the choice to work from home.
M Ravinder, general secretary, Telangana Progressive Teacher federation(TPTF) said, now the second wave of corona virus became potent and spreading rapidly. He added that the teachers would be posing peril to not only their lives but also that of their family members by going to school during these adverse circumstances.
