Currently, there are many companies in the cut throat competition of research, attempting to discover a vaccine for COVID-19. It was reported by the researchers that the vaccine had been showing better results in Human trials too. Recently, Italy too claimed successful results in clinical trials for Human subjects and hinted that it would take another 3-4 months to launch in the market.
However of all these experiments, many have a special focus on the Oxford University scientists, which is the front runner in the research. As expected, the Oxford University Expert Group shared a good news to the world. They stated that they are anticipating a COVID-19 vaccine very soon by October.
The Oxford group will test the vaccines to an extent until it is found protective against SARSKOV-2. About 2,000 people in South Africa participated in the vaccine trials, which is the last stage before market launch. While Britain’s Business magnate Alok Verma became the first man to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. The individual has not shown any signs of adverse effects and has not produced any corona virus symptoms after getting exposed to it.
The head of the project Adren Hill, who is leading it, proclaimed that the ChAdOx1 nCoV-19 vaccine that they have produced has shown promising results against the virus and clinical trials are also in the pipeline with results to be reported by August or September. After post marketing surveillance on a larger scale, the vaccine is expected to be available in the market by October.
Of late Serum Institute of India stated that it is all set to manufacture vaccines in bulk for COVID-19 that are presently being prepared by scientists at Oxford University. Globally, Serum India stands as the major and largest vaccine producer by volume and plans to sell COVID-19 vaccine cheaply at a price of Rs 1000. With this India will get to witness the first batch of vaccine testing before any country.
