The recently released ‘The Kashmir Files’ movie is catching the attention of entire India and the Vivek Agnihotri’s directorial is continuing to put strong numbers at the box office.
However, with the magnificent success of the movie, it has also invited incidents of cybercrime. Taking advantage of the success of ‘The Kashmir File’, some fraudsters are using the reputation of this movie for their own profits by sharing a link on WhatsApp saying free access to the much-acclaimed film and ultimately looting bank accounts of those clicking those links.
According to reports, Additional DCP (Noida) Ranvijay Singh has disclosed that Rs. 30 lakh fraud has been registered under the pretext of getting ‘The Kashmir Files’ for free.
Noida police have now warned people against clicking on suspicious links for free access to the film.
‘The Kashmir Files’ is based on the exodus of the Kashmiri Pundits from the valley in the 1990s. The film features a stellar cast of actors, including Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher, Pallavi Joshi, Darshan Kumaar and Chinmay Mandlekar.
