The Congress party has finalized its candidate for the Nagarjuna Sagar Assembly by-election. The AICC officially announced that it was keeping Jana Reddy in the by-election fray.
Nagarjuna Sagar MLA Nomula Narsimhaiya has recently passed away due to illness. TRS candidate Nomula Narsimhaiah won over Janareddy, who contested as a Congress candidate in the 2018 Assembly elections.
The Central Election Commission released the schedule for the Nagarjuna Sagar constituency by-election. The election notification will be released on the 23rd of this month. Nominations will be accepted till March 30.
Nominations will be considered on March 31. The deadline for withdrawal of nominations is April 3. The by-election will be held on April 17. The counting of votes will take place on May 2.
