K. Taraka Rama Rao (KTR), acting president of Telangana Rashtra Samithi, accused the opposition parties of doing petty politics during the municipal elections and said that despite many conspiracies of the opposition, people had given their vote to TRS. KTR accused the party of the internal alliance between the BJP and Congress in several places during a media interaction on Monday night.
He said that there had been an unholy alliance between BJP and Congress in Maktal, Manikonda, Turkayanjal. He said that Congress and BJP are national parties just for the name, and they have no effect in Telangana. He also said that it is a shame for a municipality to ally with two national parties.
KTR said that TRS had won 112 out of 120 seats, and TRS has won 10 out of 10 municipalities. He also claimed a landslide victory for TRS in Karimnagar. Expressing confidence in securing an absolute majority in Medchal and Nerducharla, too, KTR said that all the assurances given in the municipal elections would be met.
The TRS leader said that 130 newly elected chairmen would be trained on the recently introduced municipal law. Pattana Pragati program will be started soon on the record of Pala Pragati. He informed that the state government would also allocate an amount equal to 1037 crore to the municipalities.
He said that municipalities would bring accountability, and those who do not work correctly will be removed from the post. He noted that digital door numbers would be arranged in all the municipalities.
