The state of Telangana has been dealing at large with Coronavirus for quite some time now, and everyone knows how the government is dealing with the situation by now. To be honest, the government is actually not dealing with the virus at all, and has instead decided to let things take their own turn.
Now, a few experts have confirmed that community transmission has started in the state, which only means that the situation has gotten all the more deadlier. With no proper testing facilities and the haphazard way of dealing with the virus, the news of community transmission only makes it worse.
The health authorities of Telangana have asked the people of the state, especially of Hyderabad to be more vigilant than ever, and to be the most careful in the next 4-5 weeks. Director of Public Health, Dr G Srinivas Rao asked the public to mostly stay indoors, and to make sure that they regularly wash their hands, maintain social distancing and compulsorily wear masks when they go out in public.
With more and more cases being recorded on a daily basis, the medical staff all over the state is being overwhelmed, along with the hospitals assigned for the treatment of Coronavirus as well. The state has now made it compulsory for all PG medical students of the 2018-19 batch to work for one year in government hospitals, so that there would be additional assistance in the hospitals, in treating coronavirus patients.
Previously, the number of coronavirus cases in the districts, towns and villages of Telangana were lesser when compared to more urban areas. However, the doctors have now confirmed that the numbers in these areas have also started increasing, which is very worrying.
The total number of coronavirus in the state of Telangana have reached 49,259, while the death toll has gone up to 438. The neighboring state of Andhra Pradesh has recorded a total of 64,713 cases so far, with a death toll of 823.
On the other hand, 2200 Corona positive patients from Hyderabad have gone missing a couple of days ago, after being instructed to be isolated at home. While the concerning health officials have tried to track them down, the information given by these patients has turned out to be incorrect. With these people gone missing, we have to now be more careful than ever.
