The music is composed by Anudeep Dev and the film is produced by Niharika Konidela, Phani Adapaka, Padmaja Konidela & Jayalakshmi Adapaka under Pink Elephant Pictures & Shree Radha Damodar Studios banners.

Story:

Shiva (Sandeep Saroj), Subbu (Trinadh Varma), Surya (Yaswanth Pendyala), William (Eshwar Rachiraju), British (Shiva Kumar Matta), Aatram (Lokesh Kumar Parimi), Ravi (Shyam Kalyan), Kishore (Akshay Srinivas), Rambabu (Raghuvaran), Peddhodu (Prasad Behara) & Chinnodu (Manikanta Parasu) are childhood friends. They are also the Committee Kurrollu in a village called Purushottapalli. One day, due to a small ego clash between them, these 11 friends turn into 2 groups and they get into a fight which in turn results in a very bad accident that disrupts the village’s jatara. How do they make things work between them and in the village again after 12 years? Forms the rest of the plot.

What about on-screen performances?

Sandeep Saroj gets the central role in the film and he does a splendid job with his performances as Shiva, the guy who keeps the friends intact and also who takes part in the election. He is especially good with his lengthy monologue in the election campaign scene.

Trinadh Varma who played the negative shaded role in the friends gang delivers a riveting performance as Subbu. His intensity in the interval and his emotional act in the second half are noteworthy.

Yaswanth Pendyala as Surya and Eshwar Rachiraju as William are excellent in their respective roles. Both their romantic tracks are sweet and relatable.

Prasad Behara as Peddhodu also gives a superb performance both in the fun portions and also in the emotional scenes. He particularly shines in the scene where the friends reunite in the latter half.

Shiva Kumar Matta as British, Lokesh Kumar Parimi as Aatram, Shyam Kalyan as Ravi, Akshay Srinivas as Kishore, Raghuvaran as Rambabu, & Manikanta Parasu as Chinnodu leave a huge mark in their respective roles as the other friends.

Out of the girls- Raadhya, Tejaswi Rao and Teena Sravya get noticeable parts and all there of them do a wonderful job in their portions while Vishika, Shanmukhi Nagumanthri, Manju, and Jessie are good in their limited roles.

Sai Kumar as usual does what is expected out of him as the opposition party leader and he beautifully compliments the youngsters without overshadowing them with his presence.

Goparaju Ramana, Balagam Jayaram, Sri Lakshmi, Kancharapalem Kishore & Ramana Bhargava perform their roles neatly and add good value to the film.

What about off-screen talents?

The story by Yadhu Vamsi is very relatable and well-written. He gives us a complete nostalgic trip into our younger years and our villages. All the characters are beautifully written and there will surely be at least 3-4 relatable characters in the lives of every person who is watching this film.

The screenplay too is perfectly written. The story spans for about 30 years and all the phases are perfectly written and showcased. The friendship angle is one of the biggest strengths of the story and the way Vamsi weaved his plot and scenes around it is commendable. The first half is a breeze with a strong conflict point and a kickass interval scene while the latter half shows the friendship angle along with the village elections subplot that takes us to a sweet yet simple climax.

Director Yadhu Vamsi does a praiseworthy job with his craft in his debut film. The way he handled all the bunch of debutants in a complex story like this shows how good a maker he is. He extracts first-rate work from all his actors and technicians and gives out a memorable film. He is definitely one of the budding talents to watch out for in the future.

The dialogues by Venkat Subash Cheerala & Kondalrao Addagalla are very well-written and add superb value to the plot.

The music by Anudeep Dev is the soul of the film. All his songs go well with the flow of the film and this is one of the beautiful albums that has come out in the recent past where all the songs click. ‘Aa Rojulu Malli Raavu’, ‘Prema Gaaradi’, ‘Oo Baatasari’ & ‘Gorrela Song’ are the best tunes of the album.

The cinematography by Raju Edurolu is extraordinary. He captures the village atmosphere beautifully and all his frames are perfect with good lighting.

The edit by Anwar Ali is on point and the film never has a boring moment. All the transition cuts from present to past are well done.

Special mention to the production design by Pranay Naini for the authentic sets and the executive producer Manyam Ramesh for meticulously executing the project within a limited budget.

The production values by Pink Elephant Pictures & Shree Radha Damodar Studios are too good.

What’s Hot?

* Anudeep Dev’s Soulful Songs & Background Score
* All Lead & Supporting Artist’s Performances
* First Rate Direction
* Well Written Dialogues
* Top Notch Cinematography
* Good Production Values
* High Emotional Connect
* Touching & Relatable Friendship Scenes
* Superb First Half & Interval Portions

What’s Not?

* Little Drag In Elections Portions
* Plain & Ordinary Climax

Verdict: On the whole, Committee Kurrollu is a complete nostalgic ride with full-on emotions and relatable characters. The friendship angle and the soulful music are the biggest strengths of the film. Despite the predictable climax,if you love your village and your friends, then this film is a must-watch in the theatres.
