The former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and Telugu Desam Party Chief Chandra Babu Naidu has got yet another chance to dominate the AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. It is known that the central election commission has released the schedule of MLC elections and there is a vacant MLC post in AP.
Till now, CBN is enjoying the majority in the Legislative council and this is quite an unexpected situation for the YSRCP as they thought that council would abolished by now but the COVID-19 ruined all their plans. The vacant post is due to the resignation of the TDP candidate Dokka Manikya Vara Prasad who supported YSRCP during the capital row.
Now, the analysts opine that Chandrababu has been enjoying the majority for quite some time in council and it is his stronghold so that he can’t afford this precious chance to defeat the ever-powerful Jagan Mohan Reddy. If TDP manages to secure the seat, Jagan’s morale will get hit very badly. But the people are placing their bets on the YSRCP who have an enormous lead over TDP with 151 assembly members.
The election commission at center rereleased notifications under which the due date for nominations is June 25th and verification will be held on the next day. The last date for withdrawal of nominations is June 27th. The polls are going to take place on July 6th.
