Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Friday (September 3) met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi and invited him to be the chief guest at the inauguration of the renovated Yadadri temple. The state government’s ambitious project is nearing completion and it would be ready for inauguration by October-November this year.
Responding positively to the CM’s invitation, Prime Minister Modi assured that he would definitely attend the inauguration of the Yadadri temple.
CM KCR brought various issues in the state to the notice of Modi. As many as ten petitions on issues in the state were handed over to the Prime Minister.
In particular, review of IPS posts, setting up of the integrated textile park, development of Hyderabad-Nagpur Industrial Corridor, additional funds under PMGSY, road works in Left Terrorist Affected Areas, the establishment of Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIT), Tribal University and 21 Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas are among them.
These issues were asked to be resolved as soon as possible. As Telangana has been set up as a separate state, they have asked for an allotment of land for the construction of an official Telangana building. The Prime Minister responded positively and promised to allocate space.
