Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has announced a huge gift to Telangana people today, where it’s undoubtedly going to be a water festival to Telanganites. For this time, it’s one of the massive reservoirs – Kondapochamma Sagar, constructed under Kaleshwaram lift irrigation scheme being utilised for the drinking water purpose.
The reservoir with 15 TmC capacity will propel the irritation and drinking water necessities of old Medak, Nalgonda and Hyderabad also.
The most spectacular event is to begin by turning on the motors at the Markook Pumphouse.
In the morning, the local sharp an hour Rajitha- Ramesh along with temple chair person Upender reddy organised Chandi Yaag. CM KCR along with his better half arrived there and participated in special pooja rituals, followed by the Aarti session and reached the farm.
Thereafter, at 9.35 am, the farmers’ platform was established with pooja at Errapalli and then in Markook. At 9.50 am, the CM arrived at the pump house. Spiritual guru Chinajiyar Swamy has later arrived at 10 o’clock to mark the event with yaag.
With 34 mega watt power, six motors have been arranged. In this, one of the motor was switched on where the Kaleshwaram irrigation has begun pumping the water to the Konda Pochamma reservoir.
In this project, the water is lifted in different phases from Laxmi Barrage (Medigadda) from Godavari, will be ejected into the Kondapochamma Sagar Reservoir, which stands at a height of 618 Meters. From Konda Pochamma Sagar, through gravity, water will be pumped to the formerly arid land that had got a irrigation water facility lately
