Telangana Chief Minister KCR has made the unemployed in the state happy by announcing a job notification for 80,039 government jobs today. The CM made a key statement in the assembly regarding the job vacancies in the state. He said there are 91,142 vacancies across the state.
Of these, 80,039 jobs are being notified today. The remaining 11,103 posts are said to be regularized by contract employees. KCR said they had achieved presidential orders with a 95 per cent locality quota, adding that 95 per cent of locals would get jobs from attenders to RDO. Explaining that only five per cent would come to non-locals, the CM said Telangana is the only state to achieve a 95 per cent local quota in recruitment.
KCR announced in the assembly that the government is increasing the maximum age limit for job candidates. The age limit is now raised for ten years. The maximum age for OC candidates is 44 years and for SC, ST and BC it is 49 years, the CM said. He explained that the maximum age limit for Divyang candidates has been extended to 54 years. For Ex-servicemen it is 17 years.

According to the CM KCR statement, 18334 posts will be filled in the Home Department, 13,086 in the School Education Department, 12,755 in the Health and Family Welfare Department, 7,878 in the Higher Education Department and 4311 in the BC Welfare Department. 3,560 posts will be notified in Revenue Department, 2,879 in SC Development Department, 2,692 in Irrigation-Command Area Development, 2,399 in Tribal Welfare Department, 1,825 in Minority Welfare Department, 1598 in Forest, Environment, Science and Technology, 1,455 in Panchayati Raj and Rural Development and 1,221 in Labor Employment Creation.
1,146 posts in the Ministry of Finance, 895 in the Ministry of Women and Child Welfare, 859 in the Department of Municipal and Urban Development, 801 in the Department of Agricultural Cooperation, 563 in the Ministry of Transport and R&B, 386 in the Ministry of Law, 353 in the Ministry of Animal Husbandry and Fisheries, 343 in the Ministry of General Administration, 233 in the Ministry of Industries and Commerce, Youth Services and Tourism and Culture Department 184, Planning Department 136, Civil Supplies Department 106, Legislature 25 and Energy 16 posts.
