The never ending arch rivalry between the ruling party YSRCP and the opposition TDP is getting heated up by the day. Especially since Visakhapatnam is announced as the new Capital of Andhra Pradesh, the politics around the city have grown to new heights.
YCP had won the majority of seats in Vizag, the next being TDP, and Pawan Kalyan had lost from Gajuvaka. So Vizag became mainly TDV vs YCP.
Therefore, now YSRCP is making its way clear in order to win even the Mayor position in Vizag. YCP had decided to take an ex-MLA and a member from political family for this task.
Jagan Mohan Reddy himself had taken special interest in this matter and had given orders to the Vizag Minister to undertake this responsibility.
Gajuvaka ex-MLA Palla Srinivasa Rao is the target for Jagan. He had offered him the Mayor position if he decides to quit TDP and join YCP.
Though TDP is making all the efforts to retain him at any cost, the sources say that as soon as the election notification is issued, there are high possibilities that he may shift to YSRCP party.
