In a heartwarming gesture, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu met Indian women cricketer Sricharani and former Indian captain Mithali Raj at his camp office in Amaravati. The two cricket icons were given a grand welcome by Minister Nara Lokesh, who received them warmly upon their arrival.
The Chief Minister congratulated Sricharani for her exceptional performance and contribution to India’s recent Women’s Cricket World Cup victory. Expressing pride, Chandrababu Naidu said that the triumph showcased the strength and talent of Indian women, setting a shining example for aspiring female athletes across the country.
During the meeting, Sricharani and Mithali Raj shared their World Cup-winning moments with the Chief Minister and Minister Lokesh. Both leaders appreciated their dedication, sportsmanship, and the inspiration they bring to young girls nationwide.
Earlier, a grand reception was organized at Gannavaram Airport to welcome Sricharani. Andhra Cricket Association President Keshineni Chinni, Secretary Sana Satish, and Ministers Anita, Savita, Sandhyarani, along with SHARP Chairman Animini Ravinayudu, greeted her with flowers and cheers. The cricketers were later accompanied to the CM’s office by MPs, Ministers, and officials, making it a truly memorable celebration of women’s sporting excellence.
