The Andhra Pradesh CID arrested YSRCP rebel member and Narasapuram MP Raghu Ramakrishna Raju at his Hyderabad residence today. They stormed his house suddenly and arrested him while he was celebrating his birthday with his family.
They did not provide a valid reason for arresting RRR and told him that they would tell him the reason once he surrenders to them. The AP CID has now released the reason behind RRR’s arrest, to the public in a press note.
A preliminary enquiry that was ordered by ADG CID PV Sunil Kumar IPS gave strong proof and evidence that RRR was indulging in bad mouthing and hate speeches towards the government. It was also concluded that RRR was making derogatory statements against certain communities and making anti-government speeches. The AP CID concluded that all of this was done in deliberation by RRR, to defame the government, which is why RRR was arrested.
As a result, RRR has been arrested by the AP CID in a non-bailable case under IPC Sections 124 A, 153 A, 505 r/w and 120 B. The TDP already reacted to this arrest and said that it has been a tradition for the YSRCP government to arrest anyone and everyone who went against it and that the same thing has now happened with RRR. It is now to be seen what further political events this arrest will lead to.
