Megastar Chiranjeevi has launched the trailer of Sai Dharam Tej’s upcoming film, Republic. Directed by Dev Katta, the political drama is set in the backdrop of Kolleru in West Godavari district and the protagonist essays the role of a District Collector.
The two-minute-long trailer gives a sneak peek into the film where Sai Dharam Tej fight against the odds and the corruption in the society while discharging his duties as a Collector, who is the supreme authority of the district. Veteran actress Ramya Krishna is seen as a terrible politician and the episodes between her and Tej seem intense. The lead actor’s dialogues are sure to catch everyone’s attention.
Jagapati Babu and Aishwarya Rajesh are seen in other important roles. The film is bankrolled by J Pulla Rao, J Bhagavan, and D Jayaprakash Rao under the banner of J B Entertainments.
The supporting cast of the film are Rahul Ramakrishna, Subbaraju, Boxer Dheena, Vinay Nallakadi, and others. Music for the film is composed by Mani Sharma and Sukumar is the cinematographer. Republic is slated for release in theatres worldwide on October 1.
