With rapidly increasing Covid-19 infections, India is witnessing a shortage of oxygen in many parts of the country and there have been many cases where the short supply of oxygen has led to the death of several Coronavirus patients.
Amid these tragic times, Megastar Chiranjeevi and his son Ram Charan have launched ‘oxygen banks’ to reduce the shortage of medical oxygen. The father-son duo has already launched the initiative in Anantapur and Guntur districts via his Charitable Trust.
Chiranjeevi, today, took to his Twitter to announce that ‘Chiranjeevi Oxygen Banks’ will begin from today in Srikakulam, Vijayanagaram, Visakhapatnam, Mahabubnagar and Kurnool.
“My heartfelt gratitude to each & everyone who is a part of this mission & working relentlessly to save lives.#Covid19IndiaHelp,” he wrote in his tweet.
As of now, the Chiranjeevi oxygen bank has procured hundreds of oxygen cylinders and oxygen concentrators and they are being delivered to those who need them on a war foot basis. The team is supplying oxygen to people in home isolation and as well as to patients who have been admitted to hospitals.
