Megastar Chiranjeevi has been cordially invited by G Kishen Reddy, Union Minister for Tourism and Culture for the inauguration of the year-long 125th birth anniversary celebrations of freedom fighter Alluri Sitaramaraju at Bhimavaram on July 4.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will unveil the statue of the Telugu freedom fighter with the Megastar attending the event as one of the main guests.
In his invitation to Chiranjeevi, Kishan Reddy said that PM Modi will address the public at Pedamiram and unveil the statue of Alluri Sitarama Raju in ASR Nagar, Bhimavaram.
“I would request your presence in Bheemavaram on the 4th of July 2022 as a part of the Prime Minister’s programme. I would also like to take this opportunity to inform you that the Ministry of Culture, Government of India along with the State Government of Andhra Pradesh will be conducting various programmes in honour of Alluri Sitarama Raju over the next 1 year, till July 4th 2023. I would request your support and cooperation in making the various events a grand success,” the letter read.
Meanwhile, the Center is also planning to develop Alluri Sitaramaraju’s home village, Mogallu near Bhimavaram as a tourist spot.
