For the past several months, director SS Rajamouli has been in the USA, promoting RRR at various international film festivals ahead of the Oscar awards ceremony that took place last night in Los Angeles. Actors Ram Charan and NTR have also been promoting the film vigorously on various international press media.
After a lot of anticipation and expectation, RRR has finally won the Oscar for the Best Original Song. Composer MM Keeravani and lyricist Chandra Bose accepted the award last night.
Megastar Chiranjeevi expressed his joy and immense pride on the movie winning the award. He said that he was fortunate enough to have gotten a special invite to the Oscars in the 80s, and now he has no words to express the pride he feels, with Ram Charan being a part of the Oscars in a way that no other Indian actor has been. He even started that Ram Charan and his wife Upasana had called him before going to the Oscars last night, for his blessings.
Chiru said that the success of RRR and Naatu Naatu goes to the entire team of the film, especially Rajamouli, who put Telugu cinema on the global map with the film.
