Singer and voice artist Chinmayi Sripada has once again raised her voice against the relentless online abuse she has been facing. Taking to social media, Chinmayi made an emotional appeal to Telangana DGP V.C. Sajjanar, urging him to take strict action against cyber harassment targeting her and her family.
Expressing her anguish, Chinmayi wrote, “Respected @SajjanarVC Sir, please take cognisance of this. I am sick and tired of this everyday abuse and women deserve better in Telangana. If they don’t like an opinion, they can ignore and move on. I am happy to file a complaint, and even if the case takes 15 years, let the law take its course. These men are basically saying my kids should die. Please help.”
Her post struck an emotional chord online, drawing widespread support from fans and netizens who condemned the vile and abusive remarks directed at her. Many called for stronger laws and quicker action against online abusers who hide behind anonymity to spread hate.
Responding to the escalating issue, DGP Sajjanar acknowledged the matter, assuring that appropriate action would be taken. Social media users hailed Chinmayi’s courage for standing up against cyberbullying, with several noting that if senior officials like Sajjanar intervene seriously, the online ecosystem could soon be cleansed of such toxic behavior.
Known for her soulful voice and outspoken nature, Chinmayi has consistently championed women’s rights, dignity, and online safety. Her latest plea serves as a strong reminder that no one should be subjected to hate or harassment for expressing an opinion.
