With the rising tensions between India and China over border issues, Indian Government is making moves to strengthen its diplomatic relations. Two countries are trying to show their military strength in various forms. India invited Australia to join for next month’s Malabar naval exercises, which takes place in the Indian ocean alongside US and Japan.
This annually conducted naval exercise would be held next month by formally bringing the navies of all the four countries together in the Quad group. In response to this, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Chinese government Zhao Lijian stated that the Chinese government believes in military cooperation between the countries to bring regional peace and stability. Even with the smooth and friendly statement, China suspects the military cooperation between the four nations.
Well, India wants to make it clear to China that it is not alone in the Indian Ocean. China too understood the scenario.
