In yet another alarming incident, China has reported the first human case of infection with the H10N3 strain of bird flu in Jiangsu province.
China’s National Health Commission said on Tuesday that a 41-year-old patient, who was diagnosed with the H10N3 avian influenza virus on May 28, is currently in a stable condition and sees discharge standards.
The health department has revealed the transmission was happened from poultry to humans and said the risk of causing a pandemic was extremely low.
Apparently, this is the first case of human infection with H10N3 across the globe.
H5N8 is a subtype of the Influenza A virus (also known as the bird flu virus). This virus presents a low risk to humans, while it is extremely dangerous to wild birds and poultry.
