Tirupathi Urban SP Venkata Appalanaidu said that TDP chief Chandrababu was not allowed to visit the state as the election code was in force.
Chandrababu, who reached Renigunta this morning as a part of a visit to Chittoor was stopped at the airport by the police.
Chandrababu was angry with the police for saying that the tour was not allowed. In this context, the TDP leaders are blaming the police.
Speaking to the media, the SP said that “TDP chief was not allowed to protest due to traffic problems. TDP leaders were given notices last night but still, they tried to protest.
Permission from the Election Commission and the police is required for such activities. The area where TDP wanted to protest is a key area in Tirupathi. No clashes were allowed in this background.”
