Telugu Desam Party chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu, in a recent statement, said that there is no law and order in the Andhra Pradesh state, under the YSRCP government. He said that the government has completely failed in utilising the Police department for the right kind of things, which has resulted in a spike in the crime rate in the state. Naidu took the case of a rape attempt made on a woman, in Rpalle railway station, during the late hours of Saturday, and said that there have been several such incidents throughout April.
Naidu said that over 31 attacks and atrocities on women had taken place and that over 26 farmers committed suicides in April alone. He also said that the youth of the state were migrating to other states due to the lack of industries and employment in the state, with the latter being a promise made by the YSRCP government before the elections, which the government has failed to fulfil. The TDP chief also said that it is lamentable that the government seems to be the least bit bothered about the condition of the people of the state, and is being reckless about the state on the whole.
Chandrababu Naidu said that the YSRCP government is not actively trying to do anything that would make situations in the state better, right from the financial crisis, to every other problem the people of the state are experiencing. Furthermore, he added that the TDP was setting up two committees, on atrocities against women, and farmer suicides, as the government wasn’t doing anything about these issues. Based on the recommendations of these committees, the party would plan its future programmes, he said.
