It is already known that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy wrote a letter to the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, requesting him to release the funds that were promised by the Central government to the Polavaram Project.

Opposition leader and TDP Chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu has commented on this today, and said that Jagan has done the most foolish thing by writing a letter to the Prime Minister on this matter. He also said that Jagan degraded himself by writing this letter. Babu said that Jagan is creating a lot of problems for the state without proper knowledge in any aspect, especially with respect to the Polavaram Project, as of now.

Chandrababu Naidu said that the Polavaram Project was completed by 71% during the TDP’s regime, and that they hoped that this project would make sure that every acre of land in the state would get enough water after the project was completed. He also sadi that Rs. 55,000 Crores was the estimate of the project in 2019, and even added that Central Minister Gadkari had even lauded the government after looking at the speed at which the project was being constructed.

Speaking about the Nationalization of the project, Chandrababu said that the state government had declared that it would pay only for the electric expenses of the project, and that the Central Government agreed to fund for the rest of the project and the R&D department.

Chandrababu also said that there was a special team placed in Delhi during the TDP’s regime, which used to give regular updates to the Central government about the status of the Polavaram Project. Furthermore, Chandrababu also said that it is natural for the costs to increase as years pass by, when it comes to constructing any project.

Babu also said that the YSRCP government never paid attention to the suggestions given by him, with respect to the Polavaram Project, and added that they dealt with the project in a very careless manner. Babu also discussed that Jagan is treating the Polavaram project like his farmhouse, and is not knowledgeable enough about the project, to actually write a letter to the PM about it. He said that the CM should research about something if he is not sure about what he’s doing, and should not make the people pay for his negligence. Babu added that the people should finally speak up against hte injsutice being done to the Polavaram project, and make sure that everything goes well.
