It is a known fact that Vangaveeti Radha was a member of the YSRCP, but shifted to the Telugu Desam Party, after he was denied the ticket to the Vijayawada Central Assembly constituency, ahead of the 2019 general elections. While participating in the death anniversary of his father on December 26th, Radha claimed that he is facing a life threat, with a group of politically motivated people doing a recce near his house and office.
While the state government offered him security, Radha rejected the offer, saying that his well-wishers would take care of him better. Speaking on the matter recently, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu said that if anything were to happen to Radha, then it would be blamed on the YSRCP government. He even wrote a letter to the Director-General of Police, Gautam Sawang, and demanded a transparent investigation into the latest recce conducted on Vangaveeti Radha in Vijayawada.
Naidu also demanded that stringent action should be taken against those who held the recce, with an intention to kill Radha. He stated that it was appalling that the law and order situation was deteriorating under the YSRCP’s ‘Goonda Raj’ in Andhra Pradesh, due to which everyone’s lives are at stake.
