Dengue cases are escalating in many states across the country. Cases have been reported in many parts over the past few days.
The alert central government has sent special teams to the nine states where dengue is most prevalent. The teams will provide technical assistance for dengue prevention and advise the respective states on precautions to be taken.
Apart from the national capital Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Kerala, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Jammu and Kashmir have the highest dengue cases. Experts from the National Vector Borne Disease Control Program, along with the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) have decided to visit the respective states.
During this time, the states will be provided with the necessary technical assistance and various precautions will be explained. All states will be instructed to formulate special action for this purpose.
Meanwhile, 1530 dengue cases have been reported in the national capital this year alone. According to the Union Health Ministry, this is the first time in the last four years that such cases have been reported. It is learned that 200 districts in the state have already been identified as having high dengue prevalence.
